He rarely had the luxury of a mere semblance of a pocket and threw accurately when he did. Indeed, the first three drives were a complete microcosm of what Palmer deals with on a weekly basis.Zero throwing lanes, zero time to look downfield, receivers continually dropping well-placed passes—Palmer’s 19-of-34 for 146 yards, one interception and 4.6 QBR was a product of a wholly defunct offense around him. It simply revealed what he has endured all season long.Luckily for Palmer, he faces a beatable 21st-ranked Cleveland pass defense that was a dominant No. 2 in the NFL last year.The Browns have surrendered 243.7 yards per game and 17 passing touchdowns on the season. They’re much more vulnerable on the road, though, having allowed three 300-yard passers and two three-touchdown performances.Palmer will look to attack this unit and add to his 18 touchdowns on the season.In doing so, he must avoid top-notch corners Joe Haden and Sheldon Brown. Nickel CB Dimitri Patterson is out with an ankle injury, so fellow backup corner Buster Skrine will see increased action (via ESPN.com).
