The Oakland Raiders continue their brutal cross-country schedule for a 4:25 p.m. ET home matchup with the Cleveland Browns.

Oakland must overcome its injury-plagued four-game losing streak against a fired-up Cleveland team coming off an emotional victory over its AFC North rival Steelers.

We will be providing live game grades and analysis as the matchup progresses throughout the afternoon. Stay tuned in to this live report card all game long as we evaluate the Raiders’ efforts at asserting themselves over the Browns.

Carson Palmer represents hope for the Raiders offense.

Of the million-and-one problems currently dogging the Raiders, Carson Palmer definitely isn’t one of them.

Oakland’s quarterback was under constant harassment last week by the Bengals' defensive front. He rarely had the luxury of a mere semblance of a pocket and threw accurately when he did. Indeed, the first three drives were a complete microcosm of what Palmer deals with on a weekly basis.

Zero throwing lanes, zero time to look downfield, receivers continually dropping well-placed passes—Palmer’s 19-of-34 for 146 yards, one interception and 4.6 QBR was a product of a wholly defunct offense around him. It simply revealed what he has endured all season long.

Luckily for Palmer, he faces a beatable 21st-ranked Cleveland pass defense that was a dominant No. 2 in the NFL last year.

The Browns have surrendered 243.7 yards per game and 17 passing touchdowns on the season. They’re much more vulnerable on the road, though, having allowed three 300-yard passers and two three-touchdown performances.

Palmer will look to attack this unit and add to his 18 touchdowns on the season.

In doing so, he must avoid top-notch corners Joe Haden and Sheldon Brown. Nickel CB Dimitri Patterson is out with an ankle injury, so fellow backup corner Buster Skrine will see increased action (via ESPN.com). He has given up a 71.4 completion percentage, two touchdowns and efficiency rating of 100.4 to quarterbacks throwing in his direction.

Palmer must exploit this area of the field.
