Talk about a dinner date gone wrong.

After heading to the Laugh Factory comedy club together Thursday night, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were spotted back together again at Japanese restaurant Yamato in San Fernando Valley, Calif., Friday evening, a source told E! News.

But the outing was far from romantic.

According to the source, the former Wizards of Waverly Place star drove to the restaurant, and the Biebs showed up in his car a few minutes later.

"Something must have happened inside the restaurant, because 10 minutes after he arrived, they both stormed out looking stone-faced," the source said. "They were very serious and did not look happy at all. She got in her car, and Justin got into his.

"Selena drove off and Justin just sat there for a few minutes. I think he was waiting for her to calm down. He then drove to her house. When he got there, he started buzzing her gate. But she was obviously not letting him in. He continued trying. Then, after a while he got out of his car, he was obviously frustrated and went up to the gate and started yelling 'Selena' over it. But...she was not coming out."

Girl Meets World - Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel Returning as Cory and Topanga

Just about every other person who came of age watching Boy Meets World back in the 1990s – or when the Disney Channel began reruns in the early 2000s – was hit by a strong wave of nostalgia when the story broke earlier this month that BMW co-creator (no pun) Michael Jacobs and the Mouse House are actively putting together a followup TV series, titled Girl Meets World.

GMW revolves around the 13-year-old daughter of (still) married couple Cory and Topanga Matthews. We’re currently waiting to learn any major plot details beyond that – though, it’s confirmed that Cory is now a junior high teacher, following in the footsteps of his ever-tormented mentor and neighbor George Feeny (William Daniels).

Everyone’s been waiting for confirmation that Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel are returning to portray the adult Cory and Topanga, seeing how the two literally grew up playing those roles throughout all seven seasons of BMW. In fact, at this point, it’s fair to say that fans of Jacob’s original coming-of-age sitcom would be up in arms if another pair of grown-up actors were recruited to portray those characters in Girl Meets World (Topanga’s parents, on the other hand…).

TV Line reports that Savage and Fishel have indeed signed on to return as parent-age Cory and Topanga. (Are you feeling old yet, members of Generation X?) There are still plenty of other Boy Meets World cast members who could/should make an appearance on Girl Meets World – be it crazy Uncle Eric (Will Friedle) or ‘Uncle Shawn’ (Rider Strong) – especially since, let’s face it: the majority of the audience that’s going to tune in for this series (initially) will be grown-up BMW fans yearning to see some familiar faces on the sidelines.
Can Girl Meets World manage a similar feat once nostalgia has worn off for Boy Meets World fans? It could be tricky, seeing how the tone of that series might end up closer to Disney Channel TV series from the past decade (ex. Hannah Montana) – or, alternatively, if the style doesn’t change, more cynical modern viewers might perceive it as too corny. As the wise man once said, we shall see…

Christina Aguilera at AMA 2012 Raises Eyebrows

Back in the late ‘90s, Christina Aguilera felt like she was locked up tight for a century of lonely nights, but a decade later, there’s no doubt that she’s unleashed her talents into the world.

Although she kick-started her career on The Mickey Mouse Club — with Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling, and The Voice Season 2 contestant Tony Lucca — and recorded “Reflection” for Mulan, it wasn’t until her self-titled debut album hit shelves in 1999 that she started garnering real attention!

“Genie in a Bottle” was her first hit, but songs like “What a Girl Wants,” “Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You),” and “I Turn to You” all charted on the Billboard Hot 100 in several countries, and at the 2000 Grammy Awards, she took home the award for Best New Artist.

From there, she released her first Spanish-language album, Mi Reflejo, which won her a Latin Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Album, collaborated with a handful of pop artists — including Ricky Martin, Lil’ Kim, Mya, and P!nk — and then took a break before recording her next album, Stripped. (Oh, and there were a few more Grammy awards along the way, too.)

With songs like “Dirrty” and “Fighter” combined with ballads like “The Voice Within” and “Beautiful,” this album was both controversial and touching. After that, she waited a few years before releasingBack to Basics, her jazzy throwback album that included the hit “Ain’t No Other Man.” 

Since then, she released Bionic, had a baby, starred in Burlesque, and joined our favorite singing competition show, The Voice, in 2011. She has effectively relaunched her career, and just last week, on Nov. 13, she released her latest album, Lotus! Clearly, this pop diva has come a long way, and she’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
