On the PGA Tour this week, the Honda Classic will be held at the PGA National Champion Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, with a $6,000,000 purse. That tournament will be held from February 28th through March 3rd and will also feature 500 FedEx Cup points. The winner of the event last year was Rory McIlroy. The most recent tournament that was played on the PGA Tour was the Northern Trust Open, and it was from the 14th of February to the 17th, held at the Riviera Country Club in Palisades, California, with a purse of $6,600,000. John Merrick was able to come out on top in that tournament, taking home $1,188,000 of the prize money. The field for the Honda Classic includes Robert Allenby, Jason Day, Jason Bohn, Kris Blanks and Ben Curtis as well as Erik Compton, Stewart Cink, Retief Goosen and Tom Gillis.
